Nike is already warming up for the greatest sports event that will take place in Russia during this summer: the 2018 football World Cup. February has been the selected month to present the England home and away shirts with which The Three Lions will try to conquer the champions title by facing the best teams in the world.
As it couldn't be otherwise, the England home shirt isn't much of a surprise as such traditional and classic jerseys can't be altered drastically. But, truth be told, as much as it's traditional it's also very elegant. A white jersey with just a few colour notes like the Swoosh and the badge in blue and, in the back, the trim of the nape in red. It's so discrete that even its 66 World Cup star appears in grey. Unlike other past England kits, Nike has chosen to retrieve the navy blue shorts and the white socks for the whole equipment.
However, if we talk about the away England football shirt, that's a different story. Although it stands out for its flaming red, there's another detail that makes it much more special: a pattern of horizontal stripes in a darker red that draws Saint George's Cross and completely covers the front of the jersey. Just like with the first kit, the socks of the second kit are the same colour as the shirt and for the shorts the white colour has been chosen.
