2016 introduces us to a very special Summer that includes some of the most important sporting events in the world, in this case: the UEFA Champions League Final, the Euro Cup in France, the Copa America Centenario and the Olympic Games. These events are not only for countries to compete but for brands as well, trying to be the one that stands out the most, so every time we see a player on TV we are able to take a good look at his boots.
The adidas Mercury Pack football boots will make their official day-view on the feet of the players players playing the UEFA Champions League Final, such as Bale, Marcelo, Fernando Torres or Juanfran among others. Which strategy will adidas use in order to stand out? The colour silver, the colour of trophies, a colour to make you shine.
All three lines of adidas football boots present a common feature on all of their elite models: No laces! Both X and Messi lines have experienced a generation update one year after being launched.
We have analyzed the adidas X16+ Purechaos in our “New adidas X Generation” where we tell you about the most important changes in this line. The one that stands out the most is a new one-piece synthetic upper that completely covers the laces.
The new TechFit collar, made of a neoprene material, reduces the pressure made by the laces which provide you with better support on the sides and better fitting. The adidas Sprintframe is back with an outsole that presents semi-conical cleats that facilitate aggressive turns and provide you with more traction during fast situations.
We have analyzed the adidas Messi 16+ Pureagility in our "New adidas Messi Generation" post where we tell you about the most important changes in this line. The most important change is the framework made of thread, similar to the Primeknit on the ACE Primeknit which again, covers the laces just like on the X16+ Purechaos. A very thin, flexible and soft material that provides you with outstanding comfort anf fitting sensations.
This model is equipped with the TechFit collar, something that we did not see in the previous generation and whose design is less aggressive than the one presented by the X model, but made of the same material. This model´s outsole has not been modified because it already fulfilled all the requirements specified by the Argentinian star.
For the ACE 16+ Purecontrol boots, this new Mercury Pack only means a change of colour. A line of boots that was already modified this past January when the first lace-free football boot made of thread was presented. Nowadays it is a best-selling product.
These boots that will be worn by the Atlético de Madrid player, Koke, during the UEFA Champions League final, present a silver finish that will not go unnoticed. Other popular players such as Ivan Rakitic or Paul Pogba will also wear them during the 2016 Euro Cup in France.
The adidas Mercury Pack will be available at Soloporteros.com on May 20th featuring a 10% discount and free personalisation only valid during Pre-order.
