It's been a special week for Cristiano Ronaldo. He has never hidden his ambition when it comes to breaking records. And this week he has made history: he has over passed the goals record from Raul Gonzalez, becoming Real Madrid's maximum striker with 324 goals. Plus, he has reached the 500 goals in his professional career, goals he has scored with Sporting de Portugal, Manchester United and the Portuguese National team. So obviously it's a perfect moment to give him an award and as always Nike knows how to do it: with special edition boots.
The American brand asked the Portuguese player which were his favorite boots in his entire career, always with the swoosh brand. And CR/ had no doubt: His favorite boots were the Nike Mercurial Vapor III from 2005 and 2006. We are talking about a model from 10 years back! and yes, those were some incredible models.
At this moment we are living the 10th generation of the Mercurial line, and to talk about these models we must go back to the 3rd generation of the Mercurial silo. Before the 2006 World Cup in Germany, Nike was working on giving some more body to the ultralight Vapors so the player could feel a little bit more comfortable. And they achieved it but still were missing some grip for a better touch in wet conditions.

These new Mercurial Superfly models are inspired in the Porutguese's favorite boots. The model with the yellow details is the MERCURIAL SUPERFLY CR7 324K GOLD. And the reason of this name is obviously the 324 goals that have made him Real Madrid's max striker.
The second model is the MERCURIAL SUPERFLY CR7 QUINHENTOS for the 500 goals that Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in his career in all the clubs he has played, Sporting de Portugal, Manchester United, Real Madrid and the Portuguese National team.
For the moment we won't find available these two models, although we've already seen the Real Madrid player training with them so I guess we will soon see him on the stadiums wearing his new boots.
