adidas Primeknit 2.0 Boost

A year ago adidas and Nike chose to use the technology from the track and field sports for footbal and they created football boots where the main material was the woven upper. adidas, with the base on the adizero F50, used the Primekint material to present the Samba Primeknit. Meanwhile Nike presente a new design with a high cut look with the Flyknit material.

When it comes to futsal shoes, Nike chose to use the same technology and they launched the Elastico Superfly IC, and they presented it with the new NikeFootballX collection where we find the MercurialX Proximo and MagistaX Proximo.

Now, after adidas launched the Primeknit 2.0 football boot, adidas has decided to implement the same technologies for the futsal shoes where the main characteristic is going to be the woven upper in this adidas Primeknit 2.0 Boost, a revolutionary model with Primeknit and Boost technology.

One of the first details that we are going to find in this shoe is the high cut heel, inspired in one of the most succesfully running shoes adidas launched to the market a few weeks ago, the Ultra Boost, with a piece that is going to make for a better fit and comfort for the Achilles tendon.

But the most important aspect that stands out in this shoes is the material used for the upper, the Primeknit material, a woven upper that has been a big success in the running shoes thanks to its elasticity and lightness. But to improve the touch with the ball adidas has added a super thin layer on top of it that will make it more resistant and will provide a better grip.

The tongue is another key piece to this shoe. Although you might not appreciate it on the first look, but the tongue is attached to the base creating a one-piece sensation on foot envolving the instep and providing a compresive effect.

And another important characteristic of this adidas Primeknit 2.0 Boost is, obviously the material used for the midsole, the Boost material, wich adidas already brough with the Messi Boost and the adidas freefootball boost. It comes from the track and field sports and provids a great cushioning.

The outsole features the same design of the Boost line, made with rubber, and a squared pattern that allows for a perfect grip and traction on all kind of movements reinforcing the heel area.
