Material for Boot Cuts
There’s a wide variety of materials which brands use for the manufacture of this boot section. The most used are:
Leather
Leather provides comfort and adaptation to the foot. It is usually used in the top of the range shoes of the brands. The only disadvantage would be that, being leather, it needs maintenance for a good preservation of the shoe. It is recommended to nourish the leather with cream and above all not to keep it damp after use. When storing the shoes, it is advisable to use lasts to keep their shape.

- They need maintenance to maintain their qualities.
- They are usually heavier than synthetic shoes.
Synthetic
It is sometimes referred to as ‘polyurethane’ or ‘PU’. At first glance it may look like leather, but if we analyse the material closely, we can immediately see that the materials used have a high synthetic component. Resistance is its main characteristic. It is usually used in shoes that seek to resist wear and tear. The first times it does not provide the sensation of natural leather, but with the use, a good adaptation to the foot is achieved, but with a greater resistance to wear. The evolution in this type of materials has been enormous. The first materials used had an aspect very similar to plastic, but nowadays we can find in the market synthetic materials with an aspect similar to leather.
