Outsole

What is it?

Along with the upper, this is the element providing identity to a boot. If the upper determines for what kind of player the boot is developed, the outsole determines for what kind of terrain it is designed.

The same boot model, for example a leather one, can adapt in order to play on natural grass, artificial grass, turf or eath depending on its outsole.

The outsole also indirectly affects the weight and flexibility of the boot, the traction of the player and the stability of each step.

That’s why making the right choice regarding outsoles is very important so the shoes allow us to develop our skills as footballers to the maximum.
