Midsole
Materials in the midsole of Futsal Boots
Each brand uses their own names for this material to give it some exclusitivity, however, the departure point is always the same.
-
EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl-Acetate)
This is the name of a light plastic that is mostly used in its Compression Moding EVA version. A mould is filled with liquid EVA with pressure to guarantee no bubbles are produced inside the midsole, potentiating its properties like cushioning or the ability to return to its original shape.
-
Reinforcement Technology
These are systems (air chambers, gel, etc) which some brands include to improve the cushioning propertiesof the boot. It’s also usual to place stabilising pieces in the structure of the boot to prevent excessive pronation movements.
